Report Summary This extensive survey of parent’s views suggests there is broad satisfaction with the provision of transport by West Sussex County Council (WSCC) to children and young people with special needs.
The results of the parents’ questionnaire and the Parents’ Day have indicated the issues parents feel happy or very happy about include: - Arrangements to and from school
- Escorts
- Taxi drivers
However there are a significant number of issues of relative concern, particularly: - poor communication between WSCC and parents
- Health & Safety
- contracts with taxi firms
Importantly parents’ have offered their views on how the service could be improved and the seven recommendations in this report should be considered by WSCC as the basis of an action plan to improve the service further. Download the full report in PDF format.
